DONATIONS FOR THE ST. MARK'S FOOD PANTRY ARE IN DIRE NEED!
ITEMS NEEDED
- Food donations are accepted (non-perishable only) via a truck load or individuals may drop off items at Saint Mark’s parish office from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- If a truck load is brought to Saint Mark’s, please call in advance of delivering the food.
- Monetary donations are welcomed as well. Checks should be made payable to Saint Mark’s Church and in the memo area please write Food Pantry Donation.
- Gift cards are welcome. Please donate the cards in no more than $20 amounts to allow as equitable distribution to allow more families to be helped.
- Please note that Saint Mark’s buys a major amount of their food from the Capital Area Food Bank and that may be more cost effective than individuals buying grocery store food and donating. Please think about this as something to consider when deciding how best we can help them.
- Please remember in prayer the many people seeking help for food at this time

Join Catholic Charities at their Spanish Catholic Center location in DC to assist with the weekly food distribution taking place every Wednesday. Join Catholic Charities Food Distribution team! We are recruiting a team of volunteers to direct cars through a pickup line to receive a box of food containing frozen proteins and fresh produce for 4 people and a bag containing prepared meals to take home. SHARE Food Distribution
Join us on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday at the SHARE Food Warehouse in Landover, MD to assist with the distribution of food. While maintaining safety precautions and social distancing, volunteers will assist senior citizens, load vehicles with food packages, and make sure people get the correct amount of food items. Pro Bono Attorneys
If you are a barred attorney, become a volunteer for Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Service or Catholic Charities Legal Network. Immigration Legal Services (ILS) focuses on the provision of direct legal immigration services to foreign-born individuals and their families. ILS also focuses on training lawyers to provide pro bono services and educating community groups on the latest immigration issues. The CCLN provides legal services for civil cases on a wide range of issues including the following: child custody and visitation, consumer and bankruptcy cases, employment and discrimination cases, landlord-tenant and home foreclosure cases, public entitlement cases, wills, estate and advanced medical directives. Financial Stability Mentor Volunteer
The Financial Stability Network (FSN) provides pro-bono financial services to those who otherwise would not have access to financial education and mentoring. FSN Mentors act as coaches to low to moderate income individuals, assisting them in achieving their financial goals. Volunteers will meet with clients once a month for 1-1.5 hour coaching sessions. The Financial Stability Network provides pro-bono (Free) financial services to those who otherwise would not have access to financial education and mentoring. The mission of the Financial Stability Network is to assist low to moderate income families and individuals with increasing income and building assets. The Financial Stability Instructor will teach classes on a variety of personal financial topics including budgeting, savings, credit reports, credit cards and other financial topics to community organizations, transition housing groups and churches.

A clinical intern is defined as a student, usually a graduate level student but occasionally undergraduate, who requires specialized supervision by a licensed professional. To be considered for a clinical internship with Catholic Charities, you must be a student enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university.
