This year, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary falls on a Sunday and was therefore moved to Monday, December 9th. Because it is celebrated this year on a Monday, it is not considered a Holy Day of Obligation this year.
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is, however, the patronal feast day of the United States. Thus, we will celebrate a
special Immaculate Conception Mass on Monday, December 9th at 12:10 p.m. in addition to our regularly scheduled 7:30 a.m. Mass. All are invited to join us as we honor Our Lady on this important Solemnity.
