Mrs. Katrina Fernandez, our principal completed her first year as our principal, and what a year it was! In addition to starting in a new school, she had a new baby girl, and seamlessly navigated the school through the Covid-19 shutdown of the physical school into the
overnight transition to online learning without missing a beat. While many first rate public schools took up to a month to transition, HRS should be proud of how smoothly and quickly they moved!
Mrs. Brianna Alaimo, our assistant principal, also started the year with a brand new baby girl! Although she loved her five years in what she describes as our “embracing and loving community”, she has moved on to be closer to family.
Ms. Shindana Crawford, will now step in to the role of assistant principal and music teacher.
We also want to acknowledge parishioner-teachers who are leaving us:
Mrs. Maureen Murphy is retiring after 25 years and
Mrs. Melanie Ness is moving on after 13 years. Additionally, after serving Holy Redeemer School for two years,
Mrs. Marie Popil is moving with her family to Mexico City, and
Mr. Blake LeBlanc is moving back home to Louisiana!
