Dear Parish Family-
As you know, I always like to keep you posted on good news from our school so you can be as proud of their hard work and accomplishments as I am. We have such a wonderful school community! Have you heard?
· 100% of this year's eighth grade students are accepted into the private high school of their choice.
· Holy Redeemer School’s eighth grade teacher, Ms. Jennifer Eller, won the Maryland State Catholic Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year by the Knights of Columbus Maryland State Council.
· A Holy Redeemer eighth grade student earned 1st place at the Prince George’s County Spelling Bee, and will continue on to the state championship in May.
· Our 2018 eighth grade graduates were awarded over $350,000 in high school scholarships.
As we enter our final quarter of the school year, we begin to think of the upcoming transitions. Our 8th graders prepare to move onto high school, everyone else moves up a year and a new batch of young children enter our Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and first grade. Of course, a few new students to jump in our other classes as well.
It's not too late to sign up for the new school year. Please let me know if your friends or family want to join our school community.
