The Creighton Model FertilityCare System is a modern, natural, and highly effective method of family planning. It is designed for women and couples to learn how to monitor, maintain and evaluate their health for their entire reproductive life based on observations of their own biological markers. It teaches couples how to plan and space their children with ease and in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Church. Married couples can learn how to use the system as a shared system of family planning for avoiding or achieving pregnancies, and this system is also available for single women, engaged couples, postpartum women and couples who struggle with infertility.
Natural Family Planning (NFP) is promoted and supported by the Catholic Church because it respects God's design for marriage. Natural Family Planning is a general term for various methods, including the Creighton Model System.
Learning the Creighton Model System consists of attending one introductory session and eight individualized follow-up sessions over the course of one year.
Beth Berard is a FertilityCare Practitioner for the Creighton Model System. She regularly teaches group introductory sessions at Holy Redeemer, and is also available to meet for private introductory sessions. Beth also offers a session that provides a general overview of NFP if engaged or married couples are looking to understand the various methods and the Church's teaching on NFP.
Advanced registration for the introductory sessions are required. To register and to find out more information on the Creighton Model System, please contact Beth or visit her website at www.dcfertilitycare.com.
