CLASSES BEGIN AGAIN THIS FALL!
We are happy to announce that the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be coming to Holy Redeemer this fall. This is a unique spiritual formation program for children, approved by the Archdiocese of Washington as an option for religious education.
At Holy Redeemer, the program will consist of a 1.5 or 2-hour session once per week, in which children will receive individual and group lessons and have the opportunity to choose activities freely in a specially prepared environment with a trained catechist. These activities are designed to draw the children joyfully into the Lord's presence through Sacred Scripture and manipulative materials that engage their minds, hearts and senses.
Classes are multi-age: Level 1 is for ages 3-6, and Level 2 for ages 6-9. Classes will be held in a special space, known as an Atrium, which is to be located in part of the St. Maria Goretti room.
