Join us for Morning Adoration & Mass
Pray for Health, Pray for Peace
Every Monday through Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., Fr. Mark or Fr. Andrew opens the church and exposes the Blessed Sacrament for Holy Hour with Eucharistic Adoration in the church in preparation for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
You are invited to come spend a few minutes or the whole hour in the presence of our Lord as we pray for an end to the Covid-19 pandemic and for peace, harmony, and understanding in our country and among our country’s leaders.
Morning Mass on Mondays through Saturdays begins at 8:30 a.m.
At the end of each Mass, we are praying a litany of Saints for their intercession in the troubles of our times: On Mondays through Thursdays, a Litany of the Patron Saints of our Country’s Cities; on Fridays, a Litany of the Saints of the United States; and on Saturdays, a Litany to Our Lady under her various Marian titles.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated every Saturday from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the church rather than in the confessionals in order to be able to observe proper and safe social distancing.
You can also contact us to make an appointment for Confession with Fr. Mark or Fr. Andrew at 301-474-3920 at the Parish Office or via email at:
Fr. Mark Smith: [email protected]
Fr. Andrew Clyne: [email protected]
On Wednesday evenings this summer, we will once again be open to the public for Holy Hour with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 6:30 p.m. in the church. Benediction will be prayed at 7:20 p.m. Stay for the whole hour or drop in for a few minutes for a quick visit with the Lord.
On Saturday mornings this summer, we will hold Lectio Divina in the Goretti Room following the 8:30 a.m. Mass. If you would like to participate via Zoom, please contact Fr. Mark at [email protected].
Some Changes
As you come in to the church, you will notice:
Hand Sanitizer Stations at the entrances of the church
Cleaning Stations at the entrances of the church with disinfectant wipes to clean your hands and your space before and after your prayer and worship time
Every other pew roped off so seating is limited
All of the hymnals, worship aids, etc. removed from the pews.
Please be assured that the church has been deep cleaned, and we will continue to disinfect after each gathering.
Precautions
Parishioners who join us for Mass or prayer continue to be required to observe the guidelines for social distancing (6’ separation, wearing masks, etc.).
