On the eve of the March for Life, in our Great Upper Church, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception hosts more than 10,000 young people during the National Prayer Vigil for Life. We invite you to join us this week for the 2020 National Prayer Vigil for Life, which will take place Thursday, January 23 through Friday, January 24.
National Prayer Vigil for Life Opening Mass – Thursday, January 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Confessions and the Divine Mercy Chaplet will precede the Opening Mass. The Most Reverend Joseph Naumann, Archbishop of Kansas City, KS, and Chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, will be the principal celebrant and homilist. After the Opening Mass, the National Prayer Vigil for Life will continue in the Crypt Church with the National Rosary for Life, Confession, and Night Prayer, followed by overnight Holy Hours, Adoration, Morning Prayer, Benediction, and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
National Prayer Vigil for Life Closing Mass – Friday, January 24 at 7:30 a.m.
The National Prayer Vigil for Life concludes with the Closing Mass. The Most Reverend Timothy Broglio, Archbishop of the Military Services, and Chairman of the USCCB Committee of International Justice and Peace, will be the principal celebrant and homilist.
