Fealy Hall is being restored so that it can be used as a reception hall. Work included, reopening the old choir loft for more natural lighting, uncovering the original knotty pine wood trim around the room, instally sconce lights, painting and addressing the flooring. We've also uncovered an old stained glass window.
This should soon be a wonderful place to celebrate parties after sacraments, hold parish meetings or for parishioners to gather for family parties.
Fealy Hall is the building on Berwyn Road at 49th Street across the street from the church.
Funds for the project were received as a generous gift from Bob Rice, before he passed away recently. Bob spent many hours improving and maintaining our buildings over his time in this parish. Harvest Bazaar 2017 proceeds provided the remaining funds needed for the project.
Phase One is on schedule to be completed early December of this year.
Shirley Smith left us a gift, as well, to be used towards updating the kitchen in Fealy Hall. This will be completed as part of Phase Two of the project.
